Ferragamo’s show opened with a look that embodied the eased elegance Massimiliano Giornetti carried through the entire presentation. A fringed crochet skirt, leg clinging knee-high boots, and a jacket in what appeared to be silk or satin, all in variations of white or cream, were desirably pretty without being passé. The high boot, in one form or another, continued to appear throughout, paired with numerous knee and thigh length dresses in sandy and nude shades. One of the best looks, a champagne top with beige pants, balanced 1970’s nonchalance with an ultra modern wearability (think Talitha Getty meets Rachel Zoe). The mood overall was one of airy, multicultural sophistication, suited for women wanting a less obvious boho essence, city or abroad.
